Currently we are looking for a Lab Manager to make our team even stronger.


  • Organize, operate, and maintain a mechanical prototyping lab
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies, testing equipment and tooling
  • Setup prototype shop equipment and a support maintenance program
  • Develop a safety program and train all users
  • Develop a prototyping skills development program for engineers
  • Manage a group of direct reports that are focused on mechanical and electrical prototyping
  • Support engineers with prototyping activities:
    • Build and test prototypes and fixtures
    • Work alongside mechanical and electrical engineers to develop electro-mechanical prototypes
    • Use prototyping knowledge to design prototyping approach using internal and external resources
    • Perform necessary repairs to bring prototypes up to operating specifications for testing
  • Responsible for project related inventory management system
  • Assist engineers with documentation tasks
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor


  • Advanced knowledge and operation of 3D printers and various hand tools
  • Metal working - advanced knowledge of standard machine shop equipment
  • Soldering – surface mount, including fine pitch and no-lead rework using reflow
  • SolidWorks, Microsoft Office
  • Packaging of prototypes for international travel
  • Inspection equipment/metrology
  • Creation of assembly instructions
  • Inventory management and purchasing of lab supplies
  • Building and debugging of integrated electro-mechanical prototypes
