We are looking for an Embedded Python Test Automation Engineer with the knowledge of German language and availability for business trips to Germany.

The client is one of the most important producers of inverters for photovoltaic (PV) plants and energy storage systems, the specialist for power electronics for decentralized energy supply. Since the foundation, the company has shipped more than 800,000 inverters all over the world. Our client is committed to digitalization in the power supply industry, integrating solar PV into various sectors, and are thus actively shaping the energy world of tomorrow in different countries.

What You’ll Do

  • Test data definition
  • Write integration tests. The environment to realize those tests include measurement equipment like LMG450 from company ZES Zimmer and Control of AC and DC Power Supplies, and a HIL system
  • Integrate with measurement equipment APIs to run automated tests
  • Generate test report automatically and present to stakeholders
  • Automate the test execution in GitLab
  • Closely interact with Clients teams on the German language

What You Have

  • Experience in writing tests in Python and other script languages
  • Expertise in Git or any other version control system
  • Production experience or pet projects using dev boards (Arduino, ESP, etc.), working with datasheets and specs
  • Familiarity with serial/parallel interfaces, buses
  • Proficiency in Modbus protocol
  • Understanding basic schematics, semiconductors, passive and active components, working principles of sensors, actuators, motors
  • Skills to debug the firmware
  • Expertise in analysis, interpretation, summarizing test results and metrics, and communicating as appropriate to stakeholders
  • Intermediate and higher German level
