What You’ll Do

  • Migrate Active Batch PowerShell jobs to Azure Automation
  • Take PowerShell jobs that have been triaged and convert them to run on Azure Automation
  • Work with a variety of challenges around authentication, dependencies, connections to other jobs, and updating legacy logic
  • Pay down tech debt, adding testing and extracting out shared code from these jobs where possible

Requirements

  • MUST know Powershell 5 extremely well, or have a deep background in devops and want to know powershell 5 extremely well
  • SHOULD know and have used Pester (Powershell Testing framework)
  • SHOULD be able to give concrete descriptions of how to test given script
  • SHOULD be aware of the eccentricity of windows automation
  • MUST be capable of interfacing with subject experts to get details about what jobs are supposed to do
  • MUST be comfortable digging into legacy code
  • MUST be comfortable reverse engineering code no one owns
  • SHOULD be comfortable doing automation on Azure
  • MUST be comfortable writing automation for AD
  • MUST be comfortable working in the windows domain environment
  • MAY know DSC
  • MAY know chef, for customizing the hybrid workers
  • MAY have a .Net background
  • SHOULD have SQL experience
  • SHOULD have enough software engineering experience to refactor legacy code into shared libraries

  • This position operates in a remote capacity, but you must live within driving distance to an EPAM office. Your recruiter will discuss specific details about work location during the initial interview process
