Our partner, American University Kyiv - the new private university in Ukraine, that will open in 2022 in Ukraine, is searching for CIO.

CIO will be defining strategy and delivering information technology and data services, using the latest platforms and practices, including world-class integrated commercial solutions for Education on a cloud-first approach to deliver outstanding student experience, unparalleled faculty services, and administrative efficiencies. CIO will be responsible for the creation of an Information Technology Services division, including administrative enterprise applications, academic and administrative computing, networking, support services, classroom and instructional technology, programming services, and telecommunications.

Responsibilities

  • Define strategy and build capacities for information technology services, gauging and anticipating the diverse needs of university constituents, monitoring trends and innovations in the industry to meet those needs; developing and implementing strategic long and short-term technology plans; and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Select, negotiate, implement and maintain an ecosystem of enterprise solutions to deliver outstanding student experience and efficient administrative and academic services
  • Design and deploy a network and infrastructure capabilities of AUK facilities, including all technology elements of AUK’s new campus, delivering a digital first experience to students, faculty and staff
  • Create and maintain efficient technology academic services, including physical and virtual laboratories
  • Develop and organize technology talent to efficiently deliver services across the organization
  • Develop, successfully implement, and oversee strategic technology policies and checklists throughout the University
  • Ensure IT data security, risk management, disaster recovery and business continuity planning processes are in place and receive regular review for currency and adequacy
  • Development and exercise diligent and careful execution of departmental budget
  • Works with the student body and student affairs professionals to advance the student experience with creative technology integration in areas where students live, work, and play
  • Handle general user IT supports, network operations, troubleshooting
  • Prepare the documents, communicate with service providers and follow up IT processes inside the company

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in leading functions or divisions of information technology for education institutions or service companies
  • Hands on experience in design and deploy a network and infrastructure capabilities from scratch
  • Deep functional knowledge of enterprise applications like ERP and CRM, and preferred knowledge of SIS and LMS, including deployments and migrations/upgrades
  • Understanding of enterprise application solutions integrations
  • Management knowledge of infrastructure and networking
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and students
  • High energy level, enjoyment of challenges and a fast-paced environment, and a record of self-motivation and personal initiative
  • Intermediate or higher English level, both written and spoken (B1+)
